Custom Tours allow you to explore the Art Institute’s Collection
in your own way. Use the search form below to locate works of
art according to the artist’s name, the title of the piece, its
geographical region, and so on. You can use just one of the
form fields, or combine two or more to make your search more
specific. When searching by artist or title, you can enter the
full name or just part of it. Use the Submit button to begin
your search. A list will appear that shows the works of art that
match your preferences (if there is nothing on the list, try
another search that is less specific). Select an item from the
list to learn more about it. Depending on the piece chosen, you

Every work of art on the tour is accompanied by a paragraph that
vividly describes the appearance of the object in words.
IMAGE ENLARGEMENT
All of the artwork can be viewed in close detail with a powerful
image enlargement system.
3D IMAGE
Some three-dimensional pieces are accompanied by an interactive
image that allows the object to be viewed from any angle.
